Peter Lam

Enterprise Agile Delivery Transformation, currently leading the Telstra WoW and Program Delivery COE

Peter has helped some of Australia’s largest corporations and government departments realise benefits from adopting digital, agile & ‘new ways of working’ as an Enterprise Agile Coach, program manager and as a people leader / Head of Projects.

His knowledge is tempered by practical experience in delivering & recovering mission critical digital and agile programs by scaling agile & ways of working (WOW) from 150 through to 1500 people and beyond. He has lead, coached and delivered both agile and digital transformations for organisations weighed down by legacy tech, culture and compliance needs. Aside from those projects, Peter has been known to renovate and shift data centres, refresh technical infrastructure and corporate restructures.  It is these experiences leading and coaching transformations that have given him a rich set of stories to draw on to share with the audience.

This commitment and track record was recognised by being appointed the Oceania representative for Agile20Reflect festival - celebrating the 20th birthday of the Agile Manifesto.

Peter has been fortunate to learn a great deal from people in the agile community. As a result, he has been heavily involved in ‘paying it forward’ by actively building the community of agile practitioners since 2013:
- Founder, curator, supporter of key agile community conferences - 1st Conf, LAST, Spark the Change, Agile Australia
- Curator and facilitator in the largest community Meetup events for: Agile Project Management; Melbourne Agile and Scrum User Group; Agile Business Analysts Melbourne

Currently Peter is working as the Centre of Expertise Lead for Ways of Working and Delivery at Telstra.  He is guiding and supporting the implementation of agile @ scale which encompasses over 18 000 individuals and 1000 teams.
